The San Diego Destroyers welcomed the Alaska Kodiaks to an afternoon game at Tundradome.

Ben Flint, who finished 3rd in the WC in ERA with 2.87 in 2071, was locked in. The right-hander led the San Diego Destroyers to a 5-1 win against the Alaska Kodiaks at Tundradome. San Diego goes to 16-13.

San Diego won the game in part because of Cesar Valles. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Destroyers ahead, 3-0. For the game, Valles had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Valles.
