The 7-3 Tucson win over Minneapolis was due largely to Clemenz Winkler. The Toros left fielder slugged 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Tucson pitcher Ignacio Noriega got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Alexei Urrutia got the loss. The Vikings drop to 12-16, as their stumbling start to the 2079 season continues.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Winkler hit a slider from Alexei Urrutia for a grand slam home run. The Toros, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Winkler told the Tucson Today.
