Turlington Shines in 8-2 Baltimore Win
Ballpark of Portland was the site of the home opener for the Maine Lobster. The contest featured a prime matchup between Adrian Portuondo of the visiting Baltimore Kings and Gerald Blackman of the Lobster. The final score was 8-2, the Kings getting the win. Joe Turlington turned in the best performance. The winning pitcher was Adrian Portuondo. He's now 1-0. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits for the Kings.

Baltimore used a clutch at-bat from James Church to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Kings ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Turlington told the Baltimore News.
