Dickerson Slugs Dragons to 9-5 Win
The Portland Dragons handed the Denver Glaciers a loss at Mountain Dew Park. The final score was 9-5. Major production was provided by Brick Dickerson for Portland. In addition to his 1 single and 2 home runs, he scored 3 runs and drove in 3. He also added 1 walk. Jeff Makowka earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. Evan Salimbene came through with a big-time hit for Portland. The left fielder smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 8-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It feels good to get this one," Salimbene told the Portland Today.
