Devon Jenkins, who is tied for 10th in the WC with a 2.32 ERA, was locked in. The right-hander led the Minneapolis Vikings to a 6-3 win against the Las Vegas Aces at Western Coliseum. Phil Payne got credit for the save for Minneapolis. It was his 7th of the year. Minneapolis is now 12-13.

Minneapolis used a clutch at-bat from Midori Morikawa to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Vikings ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Morikawa. "Those qualities define our team."
