The New York Titans locked up a win at Polo Grounds II, knocking off the Toronto Juggernauts, 6-3. On the mound for New York was right-hander Al Garay. He played a major role in the triumph. New York is flying high at 17-8.

Steve Czerw had a big 2-run home run for the Titans in the bottom of the sixth inning. With New York leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from former first round draft pick Morgan California and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Titans on top, 3-0.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Czerw told the New York Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
