Multi-HR Game for Sosa in 9-3 Win
|
The Kansas City Athletics pinned a convincing loss on the Vancouver Wolves, 9-3, at Fox-Chong Park. Henry Sosa was a main factor in the win. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for Kansas City. Alex Laso went 6.2 innings for Kansas City to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. His record improves to 3-0. The Athletics, now 16-8, have played well so far.
Early in the game, Sosa had a 3-run home run for Kansas City. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Athletics on top, 3-0.
"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Sosa.
