Spectres Suffer 6-4 Setback
The Buffalo Rangers took Philadelphia pitcher Mike Colunga's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Bison Stadium. The final score had Buffalo getting past the Spectres, 6-4. Colunga went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 3. Mike Brack recorded the save, his 3rd. The Spectres fall to 7-16 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Al Lindberg came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Philadelphia pitcher Rigoberto Pita, he hit a 0-1 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Buffalo on top, 5-4.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Lindberg told the Buffalo News.
