Thunderbirds Win, 8-2, Versus Stars
|
The Phoenix Thunderbirds thumped the Los Angeles Stars, 8-2, at Stars Ballpark. Sem Vreke was a big reason his team got the win. Vreke was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Arturo Noboa, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-2. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The Thunderbirds, now 15-8, have been on a roll in the early going.
