Titans Turn Away Kings, 5-3
|
The New York Titans topped the Baltimore Kings, 5-3, in Eastern Conference action at Polo Grounds II. The standout performance belonged to New York pitcher and Bayamo, Cuba, native Luis Erazo. New York, now 17-8, has gotten their season off to a good start.
New York took a 4-3 lead on Roberto Tandarica Jr.'s 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Tandarica Jr. hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Baltimore pitcher Shan Shuai visibly frustrated.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Tandarica Jr. said.
