Lynch Sharp in 4-0 Shutout

It wasn't easy but the Ames Lake Jackalopes made it look that way.
Starter Mark Lynch shut out the Montgomery Counts despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Ames Lake Jackalopes cruised to victory, 4-0. Lynch allowed only 3 hits and rang up 14 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
Lynch has started 4 times this year, pitched 50.1 innings, fanned 66 batters and walked 6. His current record is 7 wins and no losses with a 1.97 ERA.
