Kym Leads Senators to Win
At Polo Grounds II, the New York Titans and Washington Senators were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Washington Senators defeated the New York Titans by the score of 9-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Sung-hyo Kym. Kym was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Senators on the day. Julio Mendoza nailed down his 6th save.

Scott Flynn had a big 2-run double for the Senators in the top of the first inning. With Washington leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Sergio Saldivar and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Senators ahead, 3-0.

"You can never predict what'll happen," Kym said. "That's why you play the game."

New York drops to 9-13.
