Minneapolis Gets 8-5 Win
The Minneapolis Vikings defeated the Los Angeles Stars, 8-5, at Stars Ballpark. Minneapolis center fielder Sergio Justiniano had a superb performance. He was 3-4 with a triple and 2 doubles. The win belonged to Andy Rooksberry in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Corey LaCognata took the loss for Los Angeles. Phil Payne wrapped it up, recording his 4th save.

Early in the game, Justiniano had a run-scoring triple for Minneapolis. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Vikings on top, 2-1.

"It was a solid team effort," said Justiniano after the game.

The win has Minneapolis at 11-12.
