Spectres Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4

The Philadelphia Spectres extended their winning streak.
Buffalo wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Santiago Ontiveros, falling to the Philadelphia Spectres, 5-4. Ontiveros threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Philadelphia reliever Mike Colunga snagged the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jon Krause shouldered the loss. Fidel Flores finished to wrap up his 5th save.
Sal Mendoza chipped in a run-scoring sacrifice fly for Philadelphia in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Mendoza told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
With the loss, Buffalo is 13-9.
