Big Day with Bat: Keding 5-for-5
|
It was a sensational day at the plate for Michael Keding as he led the charge to a nifty 4-2 win over the Reds. The Montgomery right fielder was pure misery for the Aurora pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Keding put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Reds, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Michael Keding singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jose Barrios in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Eddie Montes in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season, Keding is batting .201 with 25 RBIs, 23 runs scored and 11 home runs.
