The Buffalo Rangers defeated the Portland (E) Lobster, 6-3, in Eastern Conference action at Bison Stadium. Buffalo pitcher Santiago Ontiveros had a standout performance. Yobal Ulacia got credit for the save for Buffalo. It was his 1st of the year. Portland (E) is 9-13 after the loss.

Emilio Oregon, who led the EC in wins above replacement with 7.5 in 2076, came through for Buffalo with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in.

"Santiago mixed and matched," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.
