Senators Get Gritty, 3-2 Win
|
Washington and New York put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Washington Senators defeated the New York Titans, 3-2, in 11 innings in Eastern Conference action at The ESPN Zone. Washington pitcher Les Ralph had a standout performance. New York is 13-10 after the defeat.
The decisive blow was delivered by Dong-moon Chung in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 11-year veteran Derek Bath to win the game for Washington. The home crowd went nuts.
"When Les is on, he can really move the ball around," said Washington manager Josh Cooan.
