Beau Eschmann made easy work of the Pawtucket Patriots at Anchorage Grounds earlier today, tossing a no-hitter for the Anchorage Longbows.

In a superlative outing, he registered 12 strikeouts and allowed no walks, leading the Longbows as they defeated the Patriots, 1-0.

"I really didn't have my best stuff today," he admitted after the game. "There's a lot of luck involved in throwing a no-hitter. But some days it's better to be lucky than good."

Either way, Eschmann earned himself a place in the history books.
