John Liberty never let Philadelphia get something going. The Maine right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Lobster to a 2-0 win. Gerald Blackman nailed down the save. The Spectres fall to 8-13 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2083 season.

Guo-feng Lei, who is tied for 10th in the EC with a .420 on-base percentage, had a direct impact on the outcome. Lei contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Maine up, 2-0.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Liberty.
