Toronto Ruins Terrific Game by Velado
|
Despite a great performance by Toronto right fielder Tillmam Velado, the Philadelphia Spectres defeated the Juggernauts by the score of 7-6 at Sony Field at Philadelphia. Velado went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Fidel Flores recorded his 4th save for Philadelphia. With the win, Philadelphia goes to 10-10.
Alderaan Pike, who is tied for 3rd in the EC in home runs with 7, chipped in a 3-run home run for Philadelphia in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Philadelphia manager Ryan Huff.
