Dragons Pull Out Late-Game Win, 6-5
Santiago designated hitter Alonzo Armijo had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Armijo went 5 for 5 with a home run and 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Portland beat the Avispas, 6-5, in 10 innings. Wil Campos, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. Picking up his 1st save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Omar Mendez.

Donner Munro came through with a big-time hit for Portland. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Santiago manager Jacob Pauly.

The win moves Portland to a record of 9-11.
