Kelly Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Eddie Kelly was at the head of a Alaska hit parade at Power Ballpark. The first baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Kodiaks to a nice 14-5 victory over the Seattle Arrows.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Kelly told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Arrows skipper Dr. Jay Siber said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Eddie Kelly struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off J.P. McNealy in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Grantham in the 9th.
