Buffalo 12-7 After Beating Spectres
|
Buffalo picked up a win at Sony Field at Philadelphia, bumping off the Philadelphia Spectres, 4-2. Pitcher Mike Trice was a major reason the Rangers emerged victorious. Trice, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Javy Regalado got the save, the 3rd for him this season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Matty Hrinko? The Buffalo left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Rangers on top, 1-0. For the game, Hrinko had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"Mike's as tough as he is talented," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.
Buffalo is now 12-7.
