Glaciers Beat Arrows in 10
|
The Denver Glaciers faced a tough opponent in Seattle pitcher Graham MacInstalker, but still scratched out a win at Power Ballpark by a final score of 5-2 in 10 innings. MacInstalker went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The win was credited to 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jeremy Lanham in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Aaron Narduzzi took the loss. Tom Thexton picked up the save for Denver, his 2nd of the year.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Miguel Feria came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Seattle pitcher Aaron Narduzzi, he hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Denver on top, 4-2.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
No one expected much of this team, but the hot start by Denver might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. This latest win lifts their record to 14-5.
