Twins Claim 7-6 Triumph
The Cincinnati Twins defeated the Portland (E) Lobster by the score of 7-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Marco Escutia. Escutia went 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Twins on the day. The win was credited to Jaime Zuniga in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Gerald Blackman took the loss. The win takes Cincinnati to 12-6.

Cincinnati got a big at-bat from Arecibo, Puerto Rico native Jose Tineo, who in the bottom of the second hit a run-scoring double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Twins ahead, 7-0.
