The Boston Greens picked up a win at Seaward Stadium, downing the San Diego Destroyers, 6-3. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Rafael Morales, who played a pivotal role in the win. Morales yielded 3 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-1. The loss drops the Destroyers to 8-9.

Boston shortstop Willie Monjes contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Greens ahead, 4-1.

Boston manager Matt Glazer was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
