Greens Suffer One-Run Loss at Montreal
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Montreal Harfangs and the Boston Greens, pitcher Marcos Sordia was the difference between victory and defeat. The Montreal right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Harfangs win. Sordia got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Tom Dobie wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.
First Baseman Guo-feng Lei made an impact for Montreal, when he swatted a solo home run off Dong-u Jee in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Lei was 1-4 with a home run.
Lei called the win "a team effort."
The Greens fall to 5-11 and continue their lackluster start to the 2080 season.
