There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Nick Johnston is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Anchorage Homesteads at Red Wings Ballpark. The monster effort from the 22-year-old first baseman helped the Saint Petersburg Red Wings get the win, 6-1.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Homesteads manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Nick Johnston singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.

Thus far this year, Johnston is hitting .282 with 12 home runs, 48 RBIs and 69 runs scored.
