Aces Get Clutch Win, 3-2
|
In a tight contest between the Las Vegas Aces and the San Francisco Friars, Tae-sang Shinn was the determining factor. The Las Vegas right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The win went to Ricardo Riveron in relief, making him now 1-1. Kiyohiro Kaneshiro took the loss for San Francisco. The Friars fall to 8-10 and continue their sputtering start to the 2083 season.
The decisive blow was delivered by Kadri Dhamo in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Kiyohiro Kaneshiro to win the game for Las Vegas. The home crowd went nuts.
"The fact of the matter is that we had a shot to win," said losing manager Erich Weatherholt.
