Minneapolis starter Hector Moreno pitched well against the Phoenix Thunderbirds at Minneapolis Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a win, 9-5. The victory makes Minneapolis 7-9.

Minneapolis took the lead, 6-4, on Alex Rigual's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Phoenix pitcher Kent Laing in the bottom of the eighth.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Rigual, "one at-bat at a time."
