Angels Come Back Late, Nip Friars
The San Antonio Angels overcame a pretty good performance by San Francisco left fielder Leonilde Tigre, beating the Friars, 5-4, at Staples Field. Tigre went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The loss makes San Francisco 10-7.

San Antonio needed the clutch hitting of Políbio Vicncio to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Angels on top, 5-3. For the game, Vicncio had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said San Francisco manager Jeremy Cooan.
