Guilzar Shines in 6-4 Portland Win
|
The Portland Dragons dealt the Brooklyn Browns a 6-4 loss at Brown Town. Alex Guilzar was the star on offense. He was 3 for 4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Bobby Edwards got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Portland is off to a hot start at 2-0.
With Portland leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Guilzar hit a fastball from Kurt Bozek for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 5-0.
"I'm just out there trying to have as much fun as I can while I'm playing," Guilzar told the Portland Observer.
