Portland (E) beat Philadelphia at Sony Field at Philadelphia, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Brian Sides. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. John Colon finished to wrap up his 4th save. The Spectres are now 6-10.

With Portland (E) leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Sides hit a slider from Santos Lalin for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Lobster ahead, 5-0.
