Twins Send Portland (E) Home with 7-2 Loss
Cincinnati Twins starter Josh Adamczyk kept the Portland (E) Lobster hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-2 win. Cincinnati reliever Antonio Ramires picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nelson Valdez took the loss. Hugo Mesinas got credit for the save for Cincinnati. It was his 1st of the year.

Marcos Castillo had a big bases-clearing double for the Twins in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Cincinnati leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Qian-hua Ding and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 5-1.

"Josh was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Cincinnati manager Ryan Stoops.

With the win, Cincinnati elevates its record to 10-6.
