The San Francisco Friars withstood a fine game by Las Vegas designated hitter William Sanjines at Western Coliseum, to upend the Aces, 6-3. Sanjines went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. O-min Che picked up his 4th save of the season. The Friars raised their record to 8-8.
The Friars had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 6-3, San Francisco, with no one out. Las Vegas, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Sardis Abrego dug in at the plate, but on a 2-0 sinker, he hit into a double play.
