Sagastisado Batters Phoenix for 5 Hits
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Manny Sagastisado today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Stars Ballpark and paced the Stars to a 10-1 win over the Phoenix Thunderbirds.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Los Angeles third baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Manny Sagastisado hit a solo-shot off Elmo Fasanaro in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This year Sagastisado is hitting .364 with 3 home runs.
