Lobster Defeat Juggernauts, 5-1
|
The Toronto Juggernauts and Portland (E) Lobster were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Lobster grabbed a win, 5-1, at Molson Park, overcoming a fine effort from Toronto pitcher Eddy Seasholtz. Seasholtz went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Mike Leiva, now 2-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1.
The result might have been different for Portland (E), had it not been for Alejandro Alfaro, the two-time All-Star . Alfaro stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Portland (E) up, 2-1. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"The vibe's good," said Portland (E) manager Matthew McExpos. "We've got to keep it going."
The Juggernauts fall to 6-9.
