The San Francisco Friars needed 10 innings to defeat the Las Vegas Aces, 5-4, at Staples Field. San Francisco first baseman Felix Perez had a superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. San Francisco reliever David Platas was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Freddie Fel. The setback makes the Aces 6-9.

The decisive blow was delivered by Manny Alaniz in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Caleb Zwickey to win the game for San Francisco. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Perez said.
