The San Diego Destroyers stormed past the Seattle Arrows, 12-7, at Seaward Stadium. San Diego center fielderRich Bice led the hit parade. He went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The Arrows drop to 6-9.

The Arrows had been locked in a 7-7 tie with the Destroyers going into the bottom of the seventh inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old second baseman Jordan Tarango came to the plate. Tarango hit a run-scoring triple on a 1-2 fastball from Seattle hurler Edgar Cuen. It was Tarango's 2nd triple of the year.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Bice.
