The Houston Aquas picked up a win at Fox-Chong Park, downing the Vancouver Wolves, 4-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Antonio Equihua, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win went to Victor Wix in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Shigemitsu Nakayama took the loss. For the Wolves, the loss makes their record 5-10.
Al Anzaldua, who finished 3rd in the WC in doubles with 51 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Anzaldua contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Houston up, 4-3.
