Tigre Helps San Francisco Cruise to 12-3 Win
The San Francisco Friars finished off the Tucson Toros, 12-3. Much of the credit belonged to left fielder Leonilde Tigre. Tigre went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Friars. Lyalya Markosiants picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 4 in 7.1 innings. The loss drops Tucson to 6-8.

With San Francisco leading 3-1 in the bottom of the second, Tigre hit a 2-run single off Tucson hurler Yaciel Cusido. It was the 7th hit of the season for Tigre and put his team ahead, 5-1.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Tigre told a local reporter after the game.
