Destroyers Knock Off Arrows at Seaward Stadium

The San Diego Destroyers beat the Seattle Arrows, 8-5, at Seaward Stadium. Jordan Tarango, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Richard Samayoa was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Jared Bruner. Julio Olivo recorded his 4th save for San Diego.
With San Diego leading 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth, Tarango hit a 2-run single off Seattle hurler Danny Santistevan. It was the 18th hit of the season for Tarango and put his team ahead, 8-5.
"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Tarango told the San Diego Daily News.
With the loss, Seattle sinks to 6-8.
