Getting a good performance from third baseman Hector Abarca, the Minneapolis Vikings defeated the Boston Greens, 4-1. Abarca hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Vikings. Bertrand Ivory earned the win for Minneapolis. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Johnny Wickwire recorded his 2nd save for Minneapolis.

Minneapolis grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Abarca hit a 2-run home run off Cookie Klinker. His 4th home run of the season put the Vikings out in front, 3-1.

"Glad to see the fans get into it," said Abarca.

For the Greens, the loss makes them 4-9.
