The Chicago Phantoms downed the Las Vegas Aces, 6-4. The hitting star was first baseman Jose Buezo. Buezo went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Phantoms. Earl Diaz picked up his 1st save of the season. The loss drops Las Vegas to 9-5.

The Phantoms got a big at-bat from designated hitter Luis Cortes. For the game, Cortes was 1-4 with a double. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Chicago a 5-4 lead.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Buezo told the Chicago Daily News.
