The San Diego Destroyers beat the Portland Dragons, 12-6, at Portland Park. Jose Gonzales, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Dragons, now 3-10, continue their poor start.

San Diego grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Gonzales hit a 2-run home run off Wil Campos. His 2nd home run of the season put the Destroyers out in front, 5-3.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Steve Alstadt.
