The Cincinnati Twins, behind a great outing from Craig Kruppenbacher defeated the Washington Senators, 2-0, at Cincinnati Grounds. Danny Bickel earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. The victory makes Cincinnati 2-0.

The Twins got a big at-bat from center fielder Tim Champion. For the game, Champion went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 1-0 lead.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Champion.
