Houston turned a good performance from starting pitcher Ricky Zika into a 4-1 triumph over the San Francisco Friars at Staples Field. Picking up his 1st save was former first round draft pick Victor Wix. The Friars fall to 5-7 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2083 season.
With Houston leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Zika hit a cutter from Alberto Chavez for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Aquas ahead, 4-0.
"We have a lot of confidence in Ricky," said Houston manager Brandon Coroian.
