Watkins Clubs 2 Home Runs in 9-1 Chicago Win
The timely hitting of Heater Watkins helped the Chicago Phantoms down the San Francisco Friars, 9-1. Watkins belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Phantoms. Dylan Cisar, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-0. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs, while striking out 7 and walking 4. Chicago, with the win, is 2-0.

With Chicago leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Watkins hit a fastball from Cruz Ponce for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Phantoms ahead, 3-0.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Watkins told the Chicago Bulletin.
