Ontiveros Shackles Portland (E) in 1-0 Rangers Win
|
Buffalo starter Santiago Ontiveros put the Portland (E) offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his curveball in leading the Rangers to a 1-0 win. Pablo Mejia finished the game for Buffalo and earned his 1st save. The victory makes Buffalo 7-5, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2078.
Ontiveros picked up the win. He's now 1-1, after putting the Portland (E) offense in the deep freeze. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 3 hits.
"Santiago did a heck of a job," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.
