Wolves Paste 6-4 Loss on Aces
|
Las Vegas designated hitter Bobby Brito had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Brito slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, even as Vancouver beat the Aces, 6-4. Vancouver pitcher Kiyohiro Murakami got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Kurt Bozek got the loss. Losses have been rare for the Aces, who are now 9-3.
Cedric Leal came through with a big-time hit for Vancouver. The designated hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
In postgame comments to the Vancouver Herald, Leal said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
