Twins in Free Fall, Lose 9th Straight
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Cincinnati Twins.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Washington Senators and the Cincinnati Twins, Les Ralph, who finished 2nd in the EC in wins with 18 in 2075, was the difference-maker. The Washington right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win in 11 innings. The win belonged to Keung King in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kimiya Kinoshita took the loss for Cincinnati.
The Senators got a clutch hit from second baseman Cosmo Rothman. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Senators.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Rothman said in his postgame press conference.
The Twins, now 3-9, continue their slow start.
