Twins Deal Titans Painful Loss
Cincinnati turned a good performance from starting pitcher Ryan Surette into a 3-2 triumph over the New York Titans in 11 innings at Cincinnati Grounds. The Titans fall to 4-8 and continue their lackluster start to the 2083 season.

Batting in the bottom of the 11th, 31-year old center fielder Cristovão Alvelo had a real shot to win the game. New York pitcher Ray Menk was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Alvelo hit a run-scoring single. The Twins had a walk-off triumph.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Alvelo said.
