Legednary Park hosted a classic slugfest.

The San Francisco Friars beat the Phoenix Thunderbirds in a game in which both teams scored early and often. The final score was 13-11, Friars. One of the hitting stars was catcher Lyalya Markosiants. Markosiants, who is a three-time All-Star, went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. San Francisco, at 64-45, holds down second place in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division.

Markosiants contributed in the top of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat among others that helped San Francisco get the win.

"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Markosiants told the San Francisco Observer. "And padding the San Francisco win column."
